San Juan Island Wedding | Duncan + Erica | Seattle Wedding Photographer - Patrick Nied Photography

Welcome to Patrick Nied Photography!

I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer located in Seattle. Husband to a beautiful wife, and father to the world's cutest 2 year old boy. I've lived in Seattle for the past 10 years and love everything about this area. If we're not strolling around Greenlake or enjoying the sunset at Golden Gardens, we're probably hunkered down at our favorite Fremont Coffee shop. I love being a Wedding photographer, especially in the amazing scenery we have at our fingertips here in Seattle. Whether you're planning for rustic chic at a Woodinville winery, contemporary urban on a downtown sky rise rooftop, or DIY in the Cascades, let me document this once in a lifetime occasion for you and your family! - Patrick

Wedding: Erica and Duncan

August 8th, 2015

When Erica and Duncan contacted me about shooting their Wedding in the San Juan Islands, I said "absolutely! which one...Friday Harbor? Orcas Island?" Decatur Island they told me, and of course my response was "I've never heard of it!" Decatur Island is a small, non ferry accessible island, inhabited by only a few hundred people. It's the type of place with no shops, little government involvement, and no stop lights. What it lacks in amenities though it makes up for in community. Everybody knows each other, waves at each other, and helps their neighbor. Duncan's father is one of the residents of the island and his friend hosted the Wedding on their amazing ocean front property. I'm so happy to have been a part of this experience, being chartered in by boat, and driven to the Wedding location by strangers I met at the Harbor.
