Welcome to Patrick Nied Photography!
I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer located in Seattle. Husband to a beautiful wife, and father to the world's cutest two boys. I've lived in Seattle for the past 10 years and love everything about this area. If we're not strolling around Greenlake or enjoying the sunset at Golden Gardens, we're probably hunkered down at our favorite Fremont Coffee shop. I love being a Wedding photographer, especially in the amazing scenery we have at our fingertips here in Seattle. Whether you're planning for rustic chic at a Woodinville winery, contemporary urban on a downtown sky rise rooftop, or DIY in the Cascades, let me document this once in a lifetime occasion for you and your family! - Patrick

Washington Winery Wedding | Chris and Nichole | Seattle Wedding Photographer
June 15th, 2017
Chris surprised Nichole with proposing on a trip the couple took to San Francisco on September 24th 2016. Nichole, who Chris says has been everywhere, hadn't been to San Francisco. Chris, who had been a few times before, had taken a trip earlier that year for a friend's 30th birthday and had seen the exact location he wanted to propose. He even pointed out the spot out to one of his good friends, a future groomsman, who was also on the trip. On the day in question, Chris and Nichole began their day with brunch at Brenda's French Soul Food, walked around Fisherman's Wharf and had lunch at Hard Water. They ended their day at Ozumo Sushi after which, as the sun was going down, they walked out to Ricon Park to see Bay Bridge lit up at dusk. Chris asked a woman in passing to take a picture of them and then got down on one knee and proposed. Of course Nichole said yes.
The couples love to entertain their friends and family with great food, amazing wine and good conversation brought on their vision for their wedding day. Not to mention a breathtaking and intimate venue. The moment they found The Estate at Destiny Ridge, the ideas started flowing, including to create an event that felt like a journey for their guests-something unforgettable.
The ceremony was held on the deck overlooking the Columbia River. After the ceremony, they had Wine o'Clock hour on a grassy lawn above the Estate with 360 views of the river, miles of vineyards and other farmland. The reception was held on the east side of the venue where the tables were centered by beautifully crafted charcuterie boards that stretched across the length of the tables closely followed by family style dining for the main dishes. Dinner ended with Cookies and Donuts (the couples favorite) back on the deck overlooking the Columbia River, followed by dancing under the Harvest Moon.
You could say the theme was The Journey of an Estate Wedding. Starting with the shuttle ride from the hotel to the venue, about an hour each way, seeing the change in landscape from the small city to farmland to views of the Colombia River. Arriving at the venue and being given a glass of wine as they walk down the stairs lined with photos of the couple and out onto the patio with a spectacular view of the Columbia River. Sharing in their marriage and promises, playing games, eating delicious food with their closest family and friends and dancing the night away was everything they hoped for and more.
