Welcome to Patrick Nied Photography!
I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer located in Seattle. Husband to a beautiful wife, and father to the world's cutest 3 year old boy. I've lived in Seattle for the past 10 years and love everything about this area. If we're not strolling around Greenlake or enjoying the sunset at Golden Gardens, we're probably hunkered down at our favorite Fremont Coffee shop. I love being a Wedding photographer, especially in the amazing scenery we have at our fingertips here in Seattle. Whether you're planning for rustic chic at a Woodinville winery, contemporary urban on a downtown sky rise rooftop, or DIY in the Cascades, let me document this once in a lifetime occasion for you and your family! - Patrick

Vineyard Wedding | Lindsey and Mike | Seattle Wedding Photographer
June 9th, 2016
Mike and Lindsey met at work and became the cliche couple. Nurse and doctor. She works in the emergency room and Mike was rotating through as a medical student. After a long night shift a bunch of staff went out for breakfast burritos and Lindsey invited the handsome medical student. They sat next to each other and talked until the early afternoon. The rest is history :)
Mike knew he wanted to propose at the Grand Island Mansion; a beautiful mansion on the Delta where Lindsey's sister also got married. The trick was getting her there. They were boating on the Delta for the 4th of July weekend with a big group of family and friends, and Lindsey's sister and her husband wanted to go to the Mansion to reminisce. Mike tried to get her to go along but she was being stubborn for a long while and did not want to leave the boating festivities. Later that evening they were all waiting to meet for dinner and Mike told her that he thought he dropped his wallet at the Mansion. Believable story since he constantly forgets it somewhere! Lindsey went with him back to the property to look. After about 15 minutes of searching bushes and paths they gave up and walked to the edge of the river. It was almost sunset and the view was beautiful. As they were looking out on the river Mike got down on one knee and asked for her hand. After she screamed yes Mike pulled his wallet out of his pocket :) Needless to say that 4th of July was the best one yet!!
The couple wanted the ceremony to be outside with some sort of water around (Mikes request!) and the reception inside. After much searching Ironstone Vineyards became the place. The grounds are beautiful with a small lake (water!) and the wine caves are stunning for an indoor reception. The town of Murphys is small and low key, exactly what they wanted. They booked the venue that day and couldn't have been happier with the decision! Neither of them wanted a particular theme so they let the colors (navy, coral, and gold) inspire everything from the flowers to little details like hand stamped cocktail napkins and table settings. Most importantly they wanted the wedding to be a giant party that everyone they love could enjoy.
