Welcome to Patrick Nied Photography!
I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer located in Seattle. Husband to a beautiful wife, and father to the world's cutest 3 year old boy. I've lived in Seattle for the past 10 years and love everything about this area. If we're not strolling around Greenlake or enjoying the sunset at Golden Gardens, we're probably hunkered down at our favorite Fremont Coffee shop. I love being a Wedding photographer, especially in the amazing scenery we have at our fingertips here in Seattle. Whether you're planning for rustic chic at a Woodinville winery, contemporary urban on a downtown sky rise rooftop, or DIY in the Cascades, let me document this once in a lifetime occasion for you and your family! - Patrick

Cle Elum Wedding | The Cattle Barn | Nadia + Jared | Seattle Wedding Photographer

Jared and Nadia met 10 years ago when they were in 7th grade, actually going on a "first date" to the haunted woods in 2006. However, it wasn't until the two graduated high school that they actually started talking. Jared visited Nadia while she was at military school in San Antonio, but they became more "official" when he took her on a canoeing picnic adventure at Lake Kapowisin.
Back in 2015, during a rare day off together, the couple decided to plan a big date. "We immediately went on our favorite hike, Summit lake out past the carbon river ranger station. Oddly, we randomly ran into Jared's now best man, and decided to hike together! Jared stopped us on the ledge just above the lake, so we could just hangout and take pictures. As he was setting the camera up, I looked around and thought to myself that if I am ever proposed to, I really hope it is here. I turned around to face Jared and that's when he was on a knee and proposed!!"
Everybody who knows Nadia will tell you that mint is her favorite color. So, that being said, the theme of the wedding had to be based around mint!. "One thing that not many people know, is that I desperately wanted a black dress.... because this is my big day and we didn't feel like we should meet some normal standard. Because we were unable to find the black dress, we decided the next best thing was to use black as our tablecloths! Next, we thought it best to really surprise our guests by throwing some gold in there, and we think it turned out perfect!" The couple really wanted to have a rustic, but almost Gatsby like theme, and felt that their color scheme, and the beautiful venue complimented each other well! "The venue was really great for us because we wanted a weekend to relax and plan, and also wanted a venue where our family and friends could camp out and celebrate!!"
